Six Sunday afternoons, six stories to enjoy together, young and old alike. “A Teatro Ragazzi” is back – the family programme at the Teatro CorTe in Coriano. From November to the end of December, it brings to the stage classic fairy tales, clowns, puppets, soap bubbles and even a video game set at the centre of the Earth. Because wonder knows no age, and a good story can make both those watching from the front row and those accompanying them laugh, feel moved and dream.

All performances start at 4.30 pm and are suitable for children aged 3 and over.

Sunday 8 November – Beauty and the Beast
Compagnia Teatro dei Navigli · Actor-led theatre
Freely adapted from “La Belle et la Bête” by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. There is the sweet Belle with her two vain sisters, who dream of marrying a nobleman. There is her father, who one fateful day finds himself destitute and has to move to the countryside with his three daughters. And then there is the encounter with the hideous Beast, whose heart turns out to be that of a prince. It is a show full of emotion and fun, which speaks of generosity and selflessness.

Sunday 15 November – The Pied Piper
Teatro dei Colori · A musical fairy tale, black-light puppetry
It is a free adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. The set assembles and disassembles like a giant toy, and the real star of the show is the children’s imagination.

Sunday 22 November – Piccolo Circo Fellini
Fratelli di Taglia Produzioni · Live theatre and clowning
Inspired by Fellini’s *La strada*: two characters bring to the stage a cart brimming with imagination and poetry, featuring clownish gags and magic tricks. It tells a story of courage and of what it means to be together.

Sunday 29 November – Alfredo the Duck
ATGTP – Teatro Pirata · Actor-led and puppet theatre
“Puppets, just like people, have their own dreams, their own tastes, their own desires; and when they want to, they dig their heels in, just like children.” It’s a fun story about fathers and sons, generations who love, challenge and chase one another.

Sunday 6 December – Journey to the Centre of the Earth
Compagnia Panta Rei · Live-action theatre and video animations
Axel loves video games far more than real-life adventures. Then his uncle discovers an ancient manuscript pointing the way to the centre of the Earth, and he finds himself inside a video game unlike any he’s ever seen, where the danger is very real. It’s Jules Verne’s novel seen from a whole new perspective.
